EACO Assemblies


  • EACO has established four (4) Assemblies. Each assembly deliberates on issues related to its sector which are regional in nature. Tanzania is the current chair of all the 4 Assemblies. The Chairperson of each Assembly is elected from amongst members of the Assembly and the election has due regard to the principle of rotation. The four assemblies are listed below:

    1. Assembly of Regulators

      2. The Assembly of Regulators is composed of members from the ICT Regulatory Authorities. The Assembly deliberates on regional regulatory issues.


    2. Assembly of Postal Operators

      3. The Assembly of Postal Operators, is composed of Members from the postal and courier operators. The Assembly deliberates on Postal issues which are regional in nature


    3. Assembly of Telecommunication Operators

      4. The Assembly of Telecommunications Operators is composed of Members who are telecommunications operators. The Assembly deliberates on Telecommunication issues which are regional in nature.


    4. Assembly of Broadcasting Operators

      5. The Assembly of Broadcasting Operators is composed of Members who are broadcasting operators. The Assembly deliberates on Broadcasting issues which are regional in nature.
